Under the new rules from 1st January 2012 no quarentine is required if the following acions are followed First Your pet will need to be micro chipped. Please ask the vet to ensure that it is functioning correctly before you leave the clinic. and that is added to your vacination record book with a date before anything else. Blood test 25 to 30 days after rabies vaccination you will need to return to your vet who will draw a blood sample, this is then sent for testing to Ankara where these tests are carried out on Tuesday’s only. 7 to 10 days later your vet should have received the results. A satisfactory test result must show that the rabies neutralising antibody concentration was equal or greater than 0.5 Iu/ml 3 months from the date the blood was drawn you or your vet, should request a certificate form your local Goverment vet there will be a small fee for this.
