Dear Sue and Phil.
We cannot begin to thank you enough for the brilliant job you have done in looking after our little babies Mel & Digby. After being seperated from them for 6 months, they came home Happy, healthy and looking fantastic, it is like they have never been away.
During their stay with you your e-mails, photographs, and even a video clip were a great comfort and helped us deal with the seperation from our little ones.
We again say a really big thank you for taking such great care of both Mel and Digby.
Kindest Regards
Gary and Teresa

Thank you so much for all the care and hard work you have put into Marmaduke, you are both genuine animal loving people and it shows clearly from what you have both done for Marmaduke and the other dogs you care for, without the start he had from you both I am sure he would never have gotten so far, you turned a straggly big gangly stray into a healthy lad. We are both so pleased with all the whole quarantine process we would like your permission to let people know how to get a stray dog or cat out of Turkey and into Bulgaria, recommending your quarantine and transport facilities. We will distribute these amongst the volunteers and vets that help the street dogs in and around Akyaka.
If you have any new customers that have any doubts regarding your facilities, please feel free to give our email address as we would like to reassure them and explain why we would highly recommend you to them..
Love and best wishes from us both and of course Marmaduke x

Dear Sue & Phil,
Jim and I don't know where to begin to thank you both and your helpers as well, for the excellent care you have all given to Tara and Kaiser ( our Rotties' ) during the past six months while they have been with you, to obtain their European Passports.
As you know, before we got in touch with you, we had looked into the Quarantine regulations and their facilities in the Uk and also here in Ireland. When we spoke to yourself and learned that our dogs would be able to be together all the time and that they would be able to get outside and have playtimes etc; ( unlike the Quarantine centres ) this seemed to be a much better and happier environment for our dogs to be in for the six month period awaiting the passports.
During the past six months, we have had no doubt in our minds whatsoever that we made the right decision asking you and Phil to have them. All the emails and pictures you took the trouble to send us was so comforting and we could see that our dogs were happy and healthy and very well cared for. This was confirmed a hundred fold when we were reunited with them again last Monday, they were in such good health and obviously were so fond of Phil, it was great to see.
The fact that Phil brought them all the way across to Fishguard to meet us, saved us hours of driving and we appreciate this very much as well.
Also, the fees we paid for the dogs being with you guys, was much less than if we had brought them across to Uk or Ireland and put them into Quarantine, but that of course is secondary to the fact that our dogs were much better looked after and had so much more freedom, love and affection than they ever would have received in Quarantine.
As I've said already, we cannot thank you all enough and i'm sure if Kaiser and Tara could talk, they would thank you all as well, for everything you've done for them.

PAWS Kennels & Cattery Bulgaria - What are you waiting for??
Having searched high and low for a respectable service to care for our two babies (a cat and a dog), I felt like I was never going to find anyway assistance to board our much loved boys. I happened to come across a website that mentioned about pet passports for animals coming from Turkey...finally I came upon somebody that understood what’s needed, instead of me trying to educate them. and that’s when I met Sue & Phil Johns. What a godsend these two people have been. Its hard when you are travelling onwards from where your currently live...for us it was Turkey, and we had with us an Irish cat, and a Turkish dog...and no way of getting them from Turkey directly to Australia. Enter Sue & Phil at Paws Kennels in Bulgaria. They came to my rescue, and became an integral part of our move across the miles to Australia. They took on our Turkish kangal Milo and our Irish cat Jackson....both now quite seasoned travelers. With the facility of a pickup service from Turkey, the boys went to stay at the kennel...just over the Turkish border, and stayed for the following 7 months. Not once was I concerned for either of them, in fact....the social skills learnt have been wonderful for them both. Milo played everyday with fellow travelers in a massive play area...and with regular rest spells between play sessions daily. I believe he had such a wonderful time, that his adjusting was smooth and happy for him. Jackson, the autonomous boy...also got into things and made many friends and has also picked up on the social skills needed to play with other cats....not once did he seam to suffer either. both boys settled in, and were content with their new home, and the care, cuddles and play that they had.
Living so far away, you think we would be a little nervous, well, not with Sue & Phil in charge. With regular photos, correspondence etc, we were always in touch with what was happening in their world.
In the days leading up to leaving, the team including the vet staff locally, were just marvelous. Everybody worked well together, and with all the legal government quarantine requirements needed, Sue & Phil with Yanko the vet got everything done! We were confident that all was going to work fine. It did...in fact it worked so well that quarantine in Australia commented that it was great to see all paperwork was in order, and every detail was met...the boys arrived in top condition, calm and relaxed. Today they arrived in their new home....with a very excited family to see them both.
Now, I can highly recommend Sue & Phil Johns from Paws Kennels, because of their commitment to my baby boys, and to this family to give them all the care and nurturing they needed with us all apart, and the patience and assistance they gave to this family...well, I dont think you will find this anywhere else....at all! Milo & Jackson arrived in perfect health....were happy and peaceful, and so much was due to the guys at Paws....please if your thinking of bringing your animals back to your country...then use Paws Kennels....they will be greatly cared for, you will get everything organised for the required passports, and you can feel totally at peace.

TESTIMONIAL
'' An absolutely marvellous service ''
When we had to leave Turkey due to Tony’s ill health we were faced with a further heartbreak, to have to find a new home for our 'special family member' Our much loved and adored husky, Melek, had come to us some 3 years earlier from a Turkish family as an unwanted and mistreated pet. It took quite some time but with patience and love she became our loyal and devoted family pet and gave us nothing but unconditional love.
Whilst reluctantly trying to find a suitable new home for her in the Didim area we heard of 'Paws Kennels' in Bulgaria. A recently started new business set up by Sue and Phil Johns who had recognised the need for ex-pats living in non EU pet passport countries to return their pets to the UK. The requirements to quarantine your pet in the UK are extremely expensive and research had showed the conditions were not always ideal, with the time spent in isolation, and many pets returning with a changed temperament.
'Paws' has fantastic kennels with open areas allowing the dogs to play with each other creating a canine social life for them. Far from being isolated in a small run. The boarding fees are extremely reasonable, in comparison to the cost in UK they are just over half of the price.
During her 7 months 'holiday' Sue and Phil kept us regularly updated with lots of photos and videos of Melek. It was reassuring for us to know she was happy and healthy, being well cared for and could see she was enjoying herself with her new furry friends, and the human ones too !!
When the re-union was getting close we were apprehensive that Melek may have forgotten us or that her temperament may have changed. We need not have been concerned as she recognised us immediately. It is almost as though she had been in a time warp. When we got home she settled into her bed, chatting away in her familiar husky howl as though she was telling us all about her adventure!! This was very comforting for us as there was no sign of any psychological damage due to her separation from the family. This is simply down to the love and care Sue and Phil gave her whilst staying at 'Paws'. They most certainly have been our Guardian Angels, quite appropriate when Melek, in English, means Angel.
Some people had expressed concerns that quarantine served in Bulgaria may not fully satisfy DEFRA requirements to enter the UK and that some further quarantine may by required on entry. We can reassure you this was not the case. Sue and Phil's research and paperwork was spot on and Melek went through customs with no problem.
A very very BIG thank you to Sue and Phil for all their love and care and for returning our precious cargo safely, happy and healthy.
Our kindest regards
Katie and Tony Jackson

Dear Phil & Sue,
A huge thank you for all your help in getting my Charley back to me from Turkey. He arrived in France at 04.30 in the morning following a 30 hour drive full of beans and so healthy and happy and a tongue that would not stop licking for an hour!
I was at my wits end trying to find ways of getting him back to France, until I came across Phil's blog on TLF and it was a lifeline for us. The service you provide is second to none and the price is so reasonable considering the distances you have to travel. My hat goes off to you and I would VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND your services to anyone who has a cherished member of the family they need to bring back home without the strict quarantine laws in the UK. He has settled into life here as if we had never been separated and has obviously been very well looked after.
Thank you so much again to yourselves and your helpers, I really don't know what I would have done without you.
Thanks again Shirley Borne/ & Charley
